Airport dangers

Hopefully I won't have to go through any of this when I go home:

Not a nice surprise

I had just woken up on Sunday, when my grandad presented me with the Daily Telegraph to reveal a photo of Kuala Lumpur, with the headline 'Landslide.' So my first thought was where in KL was it? And was it anywhere near my family? I immediately called my sister and asked if she was OK. She causally answered: "We're fine, I think it was like 20 minutes away from where we are or something."

She just knew what to say to put my mind at ease..However I'm getting anxious about returning home because although I know my family are fine, I feel you still need that reassurance so that's why I can't wait to step off that plane in a couple days...That I can't believe, only a couple days!

3 degrees or 30 degrees?

So today was really enjoyable, I'm at my grandparents house and like the rest of England apart from Stoke, they have snow and it's stuck!
The five year old in me came out and I decided to build a snowman which was SO much fun. I haven't played in the snow since I lived in Canada and it reminded me of how much I do miss it. Even though I'm thrilled to be going home (back to shorts and flip flops) I do miss the scenery of a wonderful white Christmas.
It really is going from one extreme to the other, next Friday I'll be leaving in 2 degree weather and entering 28 degree weather. Although I can't wait to be back in the sun, I honestly will miss the 'Christmas feeling' that goes with the weather and everything else here.

Driving Me Mad

I'm currently taking driving lessons to get my British license, I have a Malaysian license but it isn't valid so I have to take the whole theory and test again. However getting my Malaysian license wasn't difficult so my wise father thought it would be best for me to get my license here. I don't have any problems with that because a British license is valid in most countries.
But I do have a problem with the fact that I will be leaving to go home for a month and although I am nearly there to taking my test, my dad doesn't trust me to drive when I'm home! Even though I have a full Malaysian license. Just goes to show how dangerous it is to drive in Malaysia because it sometimes is a free for all, but even worse my own dad doesn't think I can drive. By the time I can drive, let's just hope perfume isn't cheaper!
